I'm a 40ish newly divorced empty-nester, with my one daughter off at Stephen F Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. Go Lumberjacks (I know that sounds ridiculous).I work full time as a dir of communications and event marketing, and have lately found myself living for 5 o'clock Friday.

I believe that life isn't as much about finding yourself as it is about creating yourself, so that's what I'm doing at this new stage in my life, creating myself. Priority #1 - make time for the one thing that I can become so fully engaged in that time stands still - crafting.

I love to try it all. Currently I'm stitching together one of those pre-cut felt Christmas stockings with a puffy snowman on the front, making purple and red ornaments for my daugter's little Christmas tree, making ornaments out of wine corks and beads as gifts for friends, experimenting with my new YUDU screen printer, and trying to keep up with my Project Life book, celebrating being only 4 months behind. Love to scrapbook (paper and digital), make cards, embroidery, ATCs, etc. If it needs glue, glitter, sequins, floss, embelishements, paper, a die cut, a ribbon, bead or glue dot, I'm all about it.

Deep colors (purple is my favorite), ephemera, steampunkish things (cool old or old looking things), Fall, my blonde chihuahua/roommate, books, quotes, maps, travel, journals, anything artsy or handmade.
