About Me

Originally from coastal North Carolina, I now live in Tucson, AZ. My favorite career statement is that I'm Chief Mermaid of All the Seas. I'm an old mermaid (55 at the moment and trying to quit that nasty aging habit) but I still love adventures and learning new things.

Favorite Music

Blues and oldies--'50s and '60s but not the '80s and I don't consider the 90s as oldies. I love the very first Led Zeppelin album--it's my favorite all-time group. Being from coastal North Carolina, beach music is also one of my favorites (old stuff like The Tams, Drifters, Four Tops, Chairman of the Board, etc.)

Favorite Movies

Practical Magic, The Thin Man, Doris Day and Cary Grant movies.

Favorite Television

It is rare that I watch TV--I'd rather read a book or do something crafty. I will watch, however, if there are good old movies scheduled.

Favorite Crafts

Watercolors, all needlework arts (except crochet--all thumbs on that one), making my own cleaning products, writing my own little books, and I just learned to knit (still in the dish washcloth stage though and have zero intention of knitting major complicated things).

Response: You are most welcome. This is my very first art doll and I enjoyed learning that process. I also enjoyed learning about Amphitrite and the opportunity to share her with you. My thinking was that, while there are certainly other worthy Greek Goddesses, Amphitrite would be a special new Greek Goddess to "meet" and know and she did seem to perfectly emulate your love of the sea.
