Hello! I'm Jen.
I'm a Midwest transplant in Florida and am loving the weather down here! Shorts in December... are you kidding me?! ^__^
I am a huge fan of tea and was just thinking the other day that I should search for some kind of swap. I knew that they were out there but was excited to find this site.
Not to offend anyone, but please don't send any religious items. Spirituality is a very personal experience for many of us, I'm sure you'll understand.
To name a few...
Music. It can be a time machine that takes you back to the past or something that helps you through your day.
I love cooking and baking, so any new recipe is more than welcome! I mostly bake cookies, so am trying to branch out and try new things! :D Going to new restaurants and trying new international dishes is such an exciting adventure!
Gel pens. I journal almost every day and my favorite thing to write with is a good gel pen! All kinds and all colors: sparkly, neon, scented, rainbow, etc.
Favorite Aminals: Giraffes, dogs, and bears.
Favorite colors: teal/aquamarine, bright pink, purple.
I love hearing oldies because growing up, my father would quiz me when we were listening to the radio in the car. He would give me the first few seconds to name the song and who sang it before they started singing. 20-some years later and we're still playing the radio game.
It's hard to choose what my favorite music is, because I love it all. It truly just depends on my mood. Most days I will tell you that Breaking Benjamin is my favorite band. Other times it would be the Beatles. I have made mix cds for the car that go from The Beatles to Marilyn Manson to Johnny Cash to Rhianna to James Taylor.
I've always been a huge fan of YA novels but have recently been switching up what I read from Jodi Picoult and Nicolas Sparks to Rick Mofina and Frederik Bachman. I am starting to learn that there are whole other worlds out there in books that I couldn't even begin to imagine and it's quite fascinating.
I am currently reading A Man Called Ove by Frederik Bachman.
I love scrapbooking and smashbooks but haven't really been doing them lately. Lack of creativity or ideas, maybe?!
Ever since middle school, journaling has been my main passion. I just love looking back years from when an entry was written and reflecting on how much things have changed. I love journaling prompts. Since it's December now, the thing that I am focusing most on is self-reflection. There are some really great questions you should ask yourself by the end of the year! It really helps you pull together your thoughts and accomplishments and things you'd rather do differently.
I definitely have a problem with binge-watching! If I start a show, I have to finish it.
My favorite shows of all time: - X-Files - The IT Crowd - Keeping Up Appearances - Twin Peaks - Malcolm in the Middle - The Killing - Game of Thrones
I have always loved tea, but recently have become slightly obsessed with it. The health benefits are out of this world and the feeling of a hot cup of tea a few times a day is just the thing to relax and rejuvenate me.
My favorite teas are: - Tazo Zen. - Twinnings Ceylon Orange Pekoe.
The only teas that I don't really care for are anything very fruity, sweet or straight chamomile tea. I will drink chamomile if it has another flavor with it.
