About Me

Merry meet.

I have been gone from Swap-Bot for a couple of years since my life has taken me on a couple of wild rides which have left virtually no time for any creativity and thus no Swap-Bot. But now I'm back and ready to get some serious crafting done! I also have lots of ideas for swaps so let's see what the future brings!

And now, a little bit about me.

I am a young woman living with my furbabies (1 small dog and 3 cats) in a small house in Denmark. I really enjoy life and try to make as much as possible of it since I believe that the meaning of life is to be happy yourself and help make others as happy as you.

I am a celtic-inspired druidic witch and so work with Mother Earth, plants and herbs, incense, tarot, oils, amulets and runes amongst other things.

I very much enjoy medieval re-enactment and therefore all things medieval. Well, really anything historical up to about the middle of the 20th century.

I am really dedicated to the projects I do so please contact me before giving a bad rating if your package hasn't shown up and give me a chance to rectify the situation. This dedication also means I expect it of you so don't send me crap you just want to get rid of. If you think it belongs in your trash can chances are I think it belongs in mine.

Blessed be )O(

Favorite Music

I have a pretty extensive music taste but here are a few favourite genres: Anything pagan, old fashioned rock'n'roll (meaning from the 50's and 60's), swing, classical music, celtic, folk and folk rock and so on. I only really dislike opera and overly electronic music (such as techno and so on). If it's made on a computer and not played on a music instrument it's not for me. And no, the computer is not the new music instrument.

Favorite Books

Fantasy and historic novels are a big hit with me. I'm in the process of rereading the Discworld series at the moment but I sometimes read more than one book at the time as reading is a great way to spend time for me.

Favorite Crafts

I have a knack for crafting and have yet to fail at any craft I've tried out. I will try pretty much anything once. If it is very spacedemanding I might not do it again but that does not mean I don't like it. For instance I really enjoy wickerwork (even the smell) but I do not have enough space to do it at home unfortunately.

At the moment I'm thinking about starting up felting and nalbinding but anything really could be interesting so don't be surprised to find me in swaps with crafts not listed here.

Likes

Colours: Most colours really as long as they are bright and vivid but green, purple and blue is at the top. Think spring or summer day ^_^ I also like black and white but mostly as basis for other colours.

Animals. That's pretty much in general but furry, feathered and mythical ones are highest on the list.

Styles: Gothic, whimsical, celtic, viking, magical, celestial, victorian, fairietale inspired things, folkloric, medieval.

Misc: The Moon (and anything connected with Her), nature, bonfires, music, fairies and other "fairytale" creautures, the seasons of the year, the pagan sabbats and anything associated with them (recipies, decorations etc.), forests, stars, flowers, gentle light, bells, gypsy-style, bangles, chocolate, jars, decorated boxes, feathers, candles, organic tea, celestial patterns, Halloween.

Wish list

  • Pagan stuff
  • Witchy stuff
  • Artificial or dried flowers. If artificial then silk flowers or if they're as lifelike as possible.
  • Any kind of unscented candles (just not too cutesy)
  • Stuff for crafts like vintage ribbons, boxes, fabric, yarn, stones, pearls, buttons, embroidery thread etc.
  • Fairies.
  • Carved, wooden boxes.
  • Beautiful decorated boxes in generel.
  • Pieces and scraps of leather, skin and fur.
  • Pagan themed posters, pictures and postcards.
  • Handmade BoS-pages
  • Spellstuff, recipies and ingrediens. Anything witchy is welcome, either suplies or decoration.
  • Pagan sabbat decorations, recipies and so on.
  • Bones, teeth and horns from animals.
  • Feathers from ravens, eagles, hawks, swans, peacocks etc. I just love feathers in general.
  • Beads and pearls. Glass, bone, crystal, stone etc.
  • Fabric for patchwork
  • Anything concerning the Moon and her fases.
  • Tiny mirrors. The kind for sewing on clothing and so on.
  • Wool yarn in natural colours for medieval stuff.
  • Celtic and pagan symbols (knots, pentagrams etc.)
  • Organic tea.
  • Organic herbs.
  • Good quality incense and coals.
  • Knee-high socks toesocks in crazy colours (EUR 41/ UK 7/US 9½)
  • Hot chocolate.
  • Cool Halloween stuff.

I pledge to

Do my very best to make the package for you perfect.

Rate fairly.

Never flake.

To give notice if I get your package out later than the swap date.

Reuse packaging as much as possible to lessen the impact on the environment.

Dislikes/Don't send me

  • Non-pagan religious stuff.
  • Murky and dull colours. Grey and brown are depressing colours. Also not fond of "baby" colours and pastels, but these are more acceptable than the murky and dull ones.
  • Political stuff.
  • Manga and animé.
  • Anything that smells of smoke.
  • Coffee or coffee-flavoured anything.
  • Make-up.
  • Teddy bears.
  • ATCs
  • Plastic beads and other jewelry parts made of plastic.
  • Pebermint and liquorice flavoured teas.

Comment: Thank you for my springy swap! Although you sent it late, I received it before my partner has received mine - that's why I like European swapping. ;) What kind of things have you made from this type of yarn?
Response: It's my favourite yarn for shawls though you don't have quite enough for that *LOL* Next time I'm making some fingerless gloves with it. It's so soft and delicious that it can be used for almost anything. I'm really glad you liked it :oD

Comment: Yay! I was so excited to get your swap in the mail today. I was having the worst rainy Monday ever but this cheered me up! I love the coaster and am about to make some of the white tea right now! Hope you are feeling better, and thanks!
Response: I'm so happy it could cheer you up! The coaster is handsewn and might be a wee bit fragile but I stitched all around the edges to make it a bit more sturdy.
