I am a quilter. If you check out my blog, I am a sporadic blogger, you can learn more about me. I have made 2 of the Farmer's Wife quilts from the 1st book. I am working on 2 of the 1930's quilts. One is with 1930 reproduction fabrics. I am in a monthly program with Homestead Hearth each month they send me the fabric for about 10 blocks. I am also making blocks focused around a fabric from Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. I love using Marti Michel templates so I have not kept up with the sew along as I only have fabrics for blocks 1-30 or so and I have been traveling a lot. I have made a few blocks by hand piecing. I have done a few with paper piecing. I have enjoyed the blog tutorials in the sew along and I love seeing all of the varied fabrics. I wish I could say what I would like to receive, it is hard to think... Thread catcher, handy gadget. I have 5 vintage macihines I use. 1894 treadle, featherweight, 301A, 201 and 1975 Viking. I am mostly a scrap quilter, I love all kinds of fabric. I love to get scraps at quilt shops where you fill a bag for a price or they sell scraps by the ounce. I am currently in Hawaii and I took a little class to learn about Hawaiian quilt appliqué --I have a lot to learn there! I have never participated in a swap, and I am excited for a new experience. At this time I am traveling so this version of profile is typed on my phone. When I get home I will enhance it with pictures.
