Arizona born, California raised, followed by a brave and somewhat terrifying move to the District of Columbia for college. I then found myself in New York City for 2 years, and discovered I could be self-reliant, independent, and capable of much more than I ever thought possible. And now I'm in Texas, still trying to find my way.
I'm a girl scout for life (at heart) which comes with a love of crafts, community service, and the outdoors. I also love sending and receiving snail mail, and am so happy to have found Swap Bot!

I believe that we should never stop learning, and growing. This doesn’t have to take place in the class room. It means having the courage to try something new, something big, something small, just SOMETHING! It’s about not letting the daily-grind get you down, or letting your job become your whole life. Take control of your life and do the things that make you happy!
For me, that is cooking… and crafts… and learning how things work… and reading the classics… finding new ways to challenge myself… and more…

I love being in the kitchen. I am a baker. :D
I may not have had any friends in College if it wasnt for my homemade carmel corn
I have been a crafter for as long as I can remember! My mom sold rubberstamps and hosted stamping parties back when I was little, so we have a huge inventory... though it is mostly packed away. I prefer the stamps with the wooden handles... they last forever if you take care of them!
I was a Girl Scout for 12 years and also an Arts & Crafts camp counselor. I love the current DIY/Crafting movement... it makes me feel like the world is matching the person I already am :)
My main hobby right now is Quilting... i just finished a huge quilt and am now focusing on smaller items (have you received one of my Quilted Postcards?? ) So, I LOVE beautiful and interesting fabrics (100% cotton) that I can combine into works of art big and small :) I am starting to embellish more (crazy quilts, as they call them) so interesting buttons, ribbons, lace and such are making their way into my stash.
The random art projects I love at the moment are glass etching and bleach art. I love creating unique stencils that I etch onto anything glass :) And it's amazing what you can do with a squirt bottle of bleach, fabric, stencils, and imagination.
I'm not really into scrap-booking. I've made one as a gift, but really I dont take a lot of pictures or have a ton of exciting things in my life to document. And I REALLY dont have the space to store everything that Scrap-Booking requires.
I am notorious for finding cool, random art projects online and then making them! I love linking to cool craft posts on my blog, so if you know of any, just let me know!! http://ow.ly/1CgNt
