My name is Elisha, I live in an industrial city but try to fill my home life with as much green and nature as possible.
I love to work with my hands by crocheting, knitting, drawing, painting, sculpting, cooking - anything that involves creativity and passion. I am hoping I will get to share these things with you through a swap!
Pets? I have a 10 gallon aquarium with several fancy guppies and 4 cory catfish as well as some beautiful aquatic plants. They're so peaceful to watch - I've maintained my aquarium for 3 years so far. Here is a picture of it:
I love natural shades of green: zen green, tea green, pine green, peacock green. Any green that is lush and peaceful. I surround myself with as much of this color as possible!
My favorite color combination involves browns, blues, greens and white. It makes sense I think: earth, plants, skies and clouds...I really like nature.
I adore ravens and crows and little birds.
Another interesting tidbit is that I also enjoy science fiction and horror. Seems so "not me" right? But don't worry I also like anime, particularly films by Hayao Miyazaki: Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, Nausicaa, ect.
My favorite candy are the gummy variety. Gummy bears, gummy worms, gummy fruit. Soft, chewy, colorful, fragrant gummies! I can't get enough of them.
Most importantly of all I enjoy recieving mail instead of bills. Whether it's a letter, a card, a sketch...it makes me smile.
I like to finish my artist trading cards by covering the back with patterned paper which may concern some swappers. To ensure that my creations are authentic I sign both the front and the back. I will sometimes post progress and completed pictures of the work in my journal, my Flickr and my DeviantArt account.
All of my artist trading cards, inchies and any other art you may recieve from me in a swap are hand painted using watercolors on watercolor paper or bristol. I may occationally glue on other elements to give the piece more dimention. (I've been discovering how beautiful collage can be!)
Please do not use any art you recieve from me for commercial purposes. You do not have my permission to copy or sell them. Do not claim to have created them yourself.
You may trade them, display them, collect them and frame them as long as you do not cover or remove my name or signiture.
Chances are the piece you've recieved from me has been made just for you! Please treat them carefully and enjoy!
