I am a compulsive crafter, learning new crafts whenever and wherever I find them. My budget is limited, but my enthusiasm is big!
I am a philosophy student, which I guess makes me a philosopher, although that may be debatable. Or not.
I react badly to cigarette smoke, so pretty please try not to smoke while making swaps for me. Thank you very much!
I do rate - although the postal service in Wales is a bit dodgy, so please be patient when waiting for either a parcel or a rating! And I will always send my swaps, so if it hasn't arrived after 4 weeks contact me and we'll sort something out! On the same note, if you're running late just let me know, I'm happy to wait for something well-thought out!
I really really appreciate thoughtful notes or interesting comments. I love to hear about your thoughts behind a swap, and when it comes to postcards I much prefer to get one thats written on than a blank.
I love to paint.
I also do: knitting, crochet, sewing, drawing in various media, spinning, weaving, rag rugging, beading, jewellery making, make occasional sock creatures, and collaging (mostly SoulCollaging, see http://www.soulcollage.com).
I love:
Reds. Any reds. Then firey colours. I prefer strong, pure colours so deep rich greens, blues and purples also go down well.
Cats! Big, small, any cats...
Then most animals really.
Philosophy.
Art magazines, and learning new crafts.
Singing, and dancing at the local night-spot.
Natural areas, especially wooded!
Short stories.
Magic and fantasy. (Real and fictional).
Non-twee Fairies, like the Brian Froud fey rather than the Victorian glittersprites (although I do have a soft spot for Tinkerbell, the cheeky creature that she is).
Comics, especially the arty indie ones with really touching moments or a philosophical bent.
Tarot.
I really like ATCs and card sized things because I have a soft spot for decks of cards as they have a tactile element, you can shuffle them and lay them out and they'll tell you a different story each time.
Circles and spirals.
Strong coloured, dynamic inspirational pictures.
Black and white designs.
Images with one figure that tells a story all on its own.
Notebooks and sketchpads and really nice slim pens (I collect stationary!)
Wooden things.
Small things that are useful, or just small things.
Boxes. Bit of a pandora for boxes :)
Not a fan of:
Pastels, and I tend not to enjoy greys and smudgey browns, although in context they can be nice.)
Clothes on animals. Turns me cold.
Really girly things, pastel pinks and bling can make the most gorgeous kitten untouchable.
Deforestation.
Smokey grey cities (although the view over an industrial area at night, with its columns of blue smoke and fire and sea of lights can be stunning!)
Violence, gore, and anything eyeball related is probably worth avoiding, thanks. I really mean it about the eyeball thing.
