6/2 i just found out my husband is divorcing me so my life is complete chaos. please bear with me while i get through this rough time
these are always so hard! i'll start with the basics. i'm 36 and married to probably the most awesome guy i've ever had the luck to meet. we have two dogs and a cat - one little pitbull (only 60 lbs and she's so short!) named draya, a brindle pit-shepherd mix named bronx and an orange tabby named windom - that was mostly a case of picking the name before we knew she was a girl! it suits her thought. My husband is a staff sergeant in the air force, he does mainly ammunition inspections and such. We've been here in vegas going on three years now and it looks like we could be here for another five - sounds like hell for a girl who needs trees and rivers and gardens!
i listen mostly to punk and hardcore, with some metal and other things mixed in. in constant rotation this week:
fleas & lice - up the punx
off with their heads - clear the air
lana del rey - born to die
propagandhi - how to clean everything
pitbull - the boatlift
blood for blood - serenity
in cold blood - s/t
lemuria - the distance is so big
this is going to be hard! i have so many, and i know i'm going to leave some out, but here goes:
until i find you - john irving
a short history of nearly everything - bill bryson
the house of mirth - edith wharton
sex&violence - carrie mesrobian
the demon-haunted world - carl sagan
my side of the mountain - jean craighead george (yep, i still read kids books. in abundance.)
i read a lot of YA and outside of that, most of what i read is non-fiction of some sort - memoirs, biographies, anything is fair game.
phew. this one's a little easier.
pretty in pink
amelie
the darjeeling limited
bloodsport
movies that i will shamelessly watch every time they come on tv:
blue crush
bring it on
under the tuscan sun
rambo: first blood
shooter
i love television. i'm too embarrassed to tell you guys just how much, so i'll just list a few.
new girl
parks and recreation
american horror story
orange is the new black
arrested development
psych
project runway
i don't really watch a lot of reality tv, except the afore mentioned project runway. and i have several guilty pleasures, most of which run on the CW. i think this might mean i still have the brain of a 15 year old!
i work mainly in mixed media pieces, both paintings and shrines (i looove making shrines!) i have, in the past dabbled in crochet and knitting, but those are really hard on my wrists so i had to stop. my other favorite is making paper cuts. i guess what i'm trying to say is, i'll try anything once! :) i always need paints, inks, stamp pads, knife blades - anything like that.
as far as mail art goes, i love almost anything, but my preference is for handmade postcards, zines, and even envelopes - things that give me lots of space to make a mess on, basically. :)

i love chocolates and candy but it's already too hot in vegas to ship them safely, so please don't include them in your package - i will just have to live vicariously through you!
-a lot of the mainstream scrapbooking papers
-the color orange, except in the right context (but i won't hunt you down if you include orange in a swap!)
-poor quality swaps - i take a lot of pride in my work and it sucks not to see that reciprocated

i'm pretty easy going, really! i'm just happy to receive a package someone has put together for me!
