A bit about me: I am 44 years old. I live in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada - dinosaur capital of the world. I was born and raised in Nova Scotia, on the east coast of Canada. I spent several years in the Arctic, in Norman Wells, Northwest Territories and in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. I have also lived in La Peche, Quebec, about an hour north of Canada's capital city of Ottawa. I also lived in Calgary, Alberta for 6 years before moving to Drumheller.
I run a home based child care program and have up to 6 children in my care at a time. I have been in this field for 25 years. I am also a student working on my Herbal Health degree.
I am Pagan, and a Unitarian. I am learning about my Native American background. My family is Mi qmaq. I love essential oils and using crystals. I love being in nature. We go camping a lot. I love photography, scrapbooking, knitting. My favourite colour is purple.
I love tea, especially fruity herbal tea, and white tea, and rooibos. I do not care for black or green teas generally.
I am married to Guy. We met in the Arctic and have lived all over Canada. We have been together 15 years, married for 11. We have two dogs. Blue is a husky, and Molly is a spanial/shih tzu/terrier cross. We have a cockatiel named Fergie. We also have two bunnies, a lop named Brownie and a lionhead named Zoe.
I love all kinds of music, but mostly listen to folk and country music. I don't really enjoy opera or hard rock/heavy metal.
I really love live music and we go to a lot of music festivals throughout the year. I enjoy supporting artists by purchasing their cd's and going to their performances.
I am an avid reader and can read very quickly. I go through phases of what I enjoy reading. I like true crime, self help, psychology, contemporary romance.
I also love reading about herbs, natural health, essential oils, crystals, and anything about being Pagan.
I love scrapbooking, have lots of materials, but am just learning how to use everything. I am also learning to knit.
I can knit a mean dishcloth, but am not a good counter, so anything more complicated gets very frustrating, because I always lose my spot.
I want to learn how to crochet this winter.
I just started felting, and can't wait to have more time and money to learn more about it.

Hello CanadianGirl, it seems you are not completing your swaps, but have in the past. If you log into swap-bot again, please try to make up your swaps with your partners and communicate with them. It is disappointing to put effort into a swap to send to someone else, but not receive anything in return. If you intend to continue with swap-bot, you should consider joining the Newbie Helper Group. Thanks and Happy Fall! -Holly
