Hi, I'm Kaat!

I live near Ghent, a lovely city in Belgium. I speak dutch and english, and study french and italian. I'm trying to pick up some german, but it's going a bit slow. Feel free to use any of these languages to write me!

I love logic puzzles and brainteasers, dancing, and baking. I'm also very interested in IT, but I don't have a very broad knowledge of the subject.

Also, puns.

I joined because I like crafting, surprising people, and receiving someting other than bills in my mailbox.

I listen to all kinds of music: pop, latin, metal, rock, lounge, the list goes on and on.

I also love dancing, and there the list is a bit more limited: folk, salsa and tango music.

My favorite book of all time would be Le Petit Prince. I also have a special place in my heart for Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin, and I like the work of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

Unfortunately, I don't really have that much time to read lately. I try, but nowadays I mostly read short stories and online short/microfiction.

I'm currently doing a lot of crochet, but I just like crafting in general.I like working with beads, fabric, clay and wax.

Does baking count as a craft? If so, that might be my favorite one.

I never follow instructions when crafting, I like to either think something up myself or give my own spin to things (sometimes with mixed results, this I have to admit...)

Does Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog count as television?

I don't watch that much television, but I do watch a lot of Netflix. I'll interpret this as the series that I like to watch.

Currently following Westworld, Game of thrones, Brooklyn 99, ... I can't wait for the next season of Sense8.

Loved Firefly (+Serenity), Pushing Daisies (but I still have to watch some episodes),... I finished Penny Dreadfull, and loved right up to the last episode.

I generally tend to look for short series that have already finished. When I'm crocheting, I like to watch either the Daily Show/Last Week Tonight or some series that I'm not really invested in.

The adress on my profile is for all mail that can fit into a letter box. If you want to send a package, please ask me for the other adress.

I will not always use stamps to send mail - I have acces to a stamp printer, it's easier for me to use that instead of going to the post office. If you mention that you collect stamps on your profile, I will try to use stamps but it will take me longer as I need to find the time to go to the post office.
