I am an Interior Designer who loves to sew and generally make things when I have time. I went back to school as a mature age student to study interior design and now have a wonderful new career in this industry. I have always loved antiques and old things for their history and stories. I collect antique Quilts (I have 4) and China. The antique quilts I own are all 1930-40s fabrics which is probably my favourite. I also adore civil war and antique reproduction fabrics and making antique reproduction quilts. I enjoy designing my own quilts which always have a vintage feel. French provincial and chippy shabby chic would be my style of decorating and love a soft neutral palette. I do however like things matching (as in tones and colours). I have been married for 27 years and have 3 gorgeous children who are 23, 19 and 14. I currently live on a farm in a 1930s cottage, however we are in the process of selling our home to build a new one with less land.

My least favourite colour is purple and I am not into bright bold and modern prints.

I am also a keen gardener and my favourite flower is the rose. I have many in my garden and adore them all. I even converted my rose loathing husband to love them for their beauty and hardiness.
