Description:

Recently I had to complete a purse project and found this adorable tutorial from;

http://www.allcrafts.net/fjs.htm?url=kristinlaflamme.com/musings/?p=119

Is anyone with me on this one? I will be picky about who I let sign up since I want this to be a QUALITY sewn project. No need to be perfect, but you must have a sewing machine and be confident you can produce a purse someone would be thrilled to receive.

If you have at least 15 type 3 (crafts and packages) swaps completed on your profile and a 4.9 or above score and fit the above mentioned criteria, please join in!

Sender's choice on fabric used as long as it is 100% cotton, but it would be a nice surprise for your partner to receive hers in her preferred colors.

You must use the pattern (diagram of dimensions provided on site but should be easy to replicate on say a paper grocery bag or freezer/newspaper) to make this purse. I plan to make the handles longer on mine unless my partner specifies she likes the 'under armpit' style.

  • One more thing; the yo - yo embellishments are also up to you. Personally I can't decide if I prefer with or without! :)

Thats a cute bag! Unfortunately I am taking a break from sewing swaps to work on some of my own projects - but good luck! I love free bag patterns!

Isn't it the cutest?!! I love the fabric the creator of the pattern Kristin LaFlamme used, too.

Agreed - especially the greens. I need more modern fabric in my stash but I don't come across it very often.

Very cute bag, am watching for now, not sure if I can make the bag in a week and a half, especially if I tailor it to my partners color preference.

craftycrocheter: I understand. Maybe it will encourage you to hear how easy this pattern was to assemble - and I'm new to quilt - type projects. However, if you decide to pass on the swap I hope the tutorial will inspire you for a future project! :)
