Thanksgiving Day in the USA is November 24th

This is a fun swap - keep the cost UNDER $5.00

Send your partner 3 items with Thanksgiving theme - turkeys, corn, pumpkins, gourds, grapes, apples or fall leaves and a NOTE stating what you are thankful for.

Suggestions are napkins, note cards, table decorations, small pictures, ribbon, post cards, clear or rubber stamps, place cards, stationary, jewellery, stickers, stamped images, recipe for pumpkin pie or any fall type of recipe, fall colored papers/card stock, pumpkin flavoured tea or some pumpkin pie spice. NO Halloween stuff

Thanksgiving day in America is November the 24th..... fyi, always the last thusday of the month of November. Hope this helps....

Thank you very much - fixed it in the description - Thursday is a strange day for a holiday - could someone tell me why it is on this day?

In the USA, the first Thanksgiving which was celebrated on a fixed day was in 1863, in an effort by President Abraham Lincoln to foster a sense of American unity between the Northern and Southern states. It was not until December 26, 1941, however, that President Franklin D. Roosevelt, after pushing two years earlier to move the date earlier to give the country an economic boost, signed a bill into law with Congress, making Thanksgiving a national holiday and settling it to the fourth (but not final) Thursday in November.
