Description:

Ever try a new craft/design/idea, and your results are too good to throw out, but not quite good enough to gift or swap? Do you have a bunch of stuff you made a year ago, but now you've gotten much better at making them and you don't really know what to do with your earlier attempts? Have a handmade item that almost came out right, but you messed up the last step and you can't bear to look at it?

Swap it here!

So don't be shy! Let's see your lumpy stuffies, crooked stitching, pairs of gloves that don't quite match one another, pottery with cracked glaze surfaces, bath salts that came out grey instead of purple, handmade books with some of the pages glued together by mistake...anything!

You will have two partners. Please send each partner one "almost perfect" (ie sorta messed-up) handmade item. Alternately, if you don't have an item already in mind, you can also make something you've never tried before, and commit to sending it out no matter whether it comes out perfect or awful. Also include a note for your partner with the story of how this item ended up being not quite what you intended.

Please have a filled-out profile, ratings of at least 4.75, and no no-sends.

very cute idea! Do almost completed scrapbook pages count, lol?

grins Well, they should be completed to the best of your ability, not abandoned or half-finished. But usable, imperfect scrapbook pages would be fine.

Crap, missed it. Just finished my first lopsided stuffie...would've been perfect!
