8/16/11 - Edited to "no more than 3 of same."

I seem to be having fun these days collecting interesting things to use as mailing labels. Some ideas include:

"Hello my name is" stickers, other self-adhesive name tags, Small decorative tags, Stamped white labels, Punched shapes, Journaling cards, Handmade stickers, Deco tape labels, etc.

Thus, I thought a swap could be fun. I hope you will agree.

Fine Details:

  • 2 partners
  • Send at least 12 mailing labels, with no more of 3 the same.
  • Handmade or store-bought.
  • Use a fun mailing label on the envelope you send your swap in.

Poke around your local thrift stores, etc. as sometimes these places yield good results, like my great find today for 80 self adhesive kitchen themed labels that I've seen at Whole Foods market for about $10 which I loved, but refused to pay. I lucked out - these were $1.99!

Hi @ArtyBeth3 , for the handmade labels, are you requiring that they have an adhesive backing or can we suppose our partner can use glue/tape themselves to adhere it to their envie or package? I ask because I have this punch which I sometimes use for label purposes, punched out on colored paper, and I just add glue to the back when I'm ready to use it since I don't have any adhesive backed paper. Thanks! :)

@lorepuckett they DO NOT not have to have an adhesive backing. A punched label that your partner would have to use a glue stick on is perfectly acceptable. I LOVE your punch and would be thrilled to get some of them if I was your partner; even if I wasn't your partner, perhaps we could swap.

The labels can be printed, rubber stamped, handmade, store-bought; they can be decorative post-its, etc. They do not have to have adhesive on the back.

Once you start looking around, you might be surprised with what you can use for mailing labels (smile)

Hopefully those that are watching will come on out & play.
