Description:

I thought it would be fun to create a scrapbook album of recipes from around the world, so this will be a long running themed swap, this first one is for STARTERS/ENTREE'S.

I will be running several more swaps over the coming months for Main Courses/Desserts/Snacks/Special Occasion meals - so anyone signing up for this swap and future swaps in this theme will eventually have enough pages for a whole album of wonderful recipes.

You will have 2 partners. You will create a 12x12inch scrapbook page for each partner, featuring your chosen recipe for a Starter/Entree.

You must include a note of your name, location and reasons for choosing the recipe. The recipe MUST be a recipe you have tried yourself, include details of where the recipe is from, perhaps it is a family recipe or a traditional local recipe, make sure you tell your partner all these interesting things about your recipe. You can put this info on a seperate note or attach it to the actual page - a photo of the finished dish would also be wonderful, but not essential.

Please make your pages beautiful and something you would want to receive for your own album.

Please also check your partners profile and consider their likes/dislikes before building their scrap book page, be sure to check their food preferences/allergies in their profile or comments below to be sure you're not sending a meat recipe to a vegan or a nut recipe to someone with a nut allergy.

I have left plenty of time between the final sign up date and send date to allow for the building and research of your pages.

This is an INTERNATIONAL swap. Everyone is welcome to join (Including Newbies) but I reserve the right to ban anyone who has recent no sends.

Happy Swapping :)

NOTE* You may make your pages a touch smaller to fit the shipping requirements of your local postal services, but please make sure they are at least 10x10 inches. Thanks! <3

Hi there, I just checked the costs for such a large envelope - it's unaffordable to ship internationally if it's really 12x12 inches :( We have a limit to 30x30cm which is 11.8x11.8 inches. So my question is: Could I (or other international swappers) participate even though the layouts would be half an inch smaller on each side? If you back them with a 12x12 paper it might look nice...

Hi Anke :) Yes I think that is acceptable.... if there is a size limit for envelopes in some countries then 10 or 11 inches is fine.

Thank you!

Eeeek, just had a PM, I didn't realise that in the US you call a starter an appetizer.... so yeah, this is a recipe for an appetizer :) Apologies for any confusion!

Unfortunateley we can ony send enveloppes that are 23cm wich is about 9 inches. Or else it would cost 6-9 euros each. Too bad I really wanted to join :)

We can't send on Sunday so mine went out today, Monday the 11th. Sorry for being late, I didn't catch the Sunday thing until too late on Saturday. I hope everyone had fun with this :)
