Description:

Throughout history special foods have been developed as offerings to the Divine or eaten during special holy days. For this swap you are to create or find a historic recipe that could be used as an offering or is eaten during a special holiday to a Goddess. This does not have to be a pagan Goddess but can be any form of the Divine female. Please send the recipe and a short note explaining how the food relates to the Goddess and how it would be used. In some cultures a food offering is eaten in others it is not. Send an image and some information about the Goddess. The recipe, image and information can all be on one piece of paper. Please make this a recipe that is edible and your partner would enjoy or give a modern translation that is safe for consumption. There is no restriction on size but should easily be read.

Requirements:

  1. One historic or self developed recipe dedicated to or eaten during a holiday associated with a Goddess or divine female form. (food safe)
  2. A note explaining the recipe’s relationship to the Goddess and information on the Goddess it relates to.
  3. An image of the Goddess you are writing about.
  4. A note with swap information so your partner can rate you.

If you are having a problem getting your swap out because of a true emergency please contact me and your partner. I will be happy to help even if it means covering the swap for you. To just Flake will get you removed from the group.

Note to my partner: ignore my allergies! It would be a big pain to try to alter a historical recipe and I am more interested in the ideas behind the swap than actually eating it!
