Description:

I love beer and beer labels. I'm not talking about Coors or Budweiser. I mean the stuff from small regional breweries like Flying Dog, Rogue, Elysian, or Northern Lights--and imports, too.

For this swap collect labels from three different beers (same brewery is okay) to send to four partners. Please only send labels from microbreweries. That's 12 beer labels. Send labels from your favorite microbrew, or just send labels that you think are cool. A lot of talent goes into designing those labels. One of my favorite labels is Flying Dog's Gonzo Imperial Porter (even though the beer is a little too strong for my taste).

This swap is open to anyone with a rating of at least 4.7 and international participants are welcome.

Now let's have a beer!

are we talking about the labels on the bottle? do you have a good, easy way for getting them off the bottle without destroying them? i just tried and i can't do it without ripping.

soak them in water for awhile and see if that helps, be very careful when removing and lay them flat to dry before messing with them.

i'm in - i love microbrew beers! in alabama you can't buy beer over a certain percentage of alcohol - but we have a movement - free the hops (www.freethehops.org) - to get better beer in alabama!! sorry for the commerical - they just had a fund raiser!

I am a total newbie... does that mean I can't participate? I'd like to mention that i am from Germany, after all... imagine what i could offer in this swap! ;-) ( :-)If I don't fit the criteria, though, I'm not offended either...)

-Welcome, HappyCactus!

-Thanks for the tip, mommie2angels. Also, try this site: http://www.grape-nutz.com/soldiers/labels/removal.html. It talks about removing wine labels, but the principal is the same.

-And newbies are welcome with a completed profile.

Is it okay, that it's only the front of the beer? I've got some from the Faerose brewery Føroyar Bjór, but I only have the front of the beer bottle... I could find some from Danish breweries too, to make up for only having front labels, or what do you guys think?

pioki3 11/30/2007 #

Just the front label is fine. Some beers only have one label anyhow.
