Swap description: Fairy Tale Mail
Decorate and/or creatively craft one envelope for each of your partners, with a fairy tale theme chosen from your partners' favourites (see below). You may add hand-drawn artwork to a store-bought envelope, or design and print your own, or fold from story book pages – whatever you prefer. Address the envelopes to your partners.
Inside each envelope, include a small fairy tale surprise that relates to one of your partners' favourites. This could be an item described/featured in a story (e.g. a packet of magic beans from Jack & the Beanstalk, or a poisoned comb from Snow White) or a zine/story you have written relating to the favourite tale, or illustrations (e.g. an ATC or set of inchies), or a handcrafted 'something' (e.g. set of artistamps, a bookmark, a coin purse). Be creative, but aim for something fairly flat unless you are sure your envelope can take the strain!
Swap requirements
- 2 partners = 2 Fairy Tale Mail envelopes sent and 2 Fairy Tale Mail envelopes received
- Please list at least 5 favourite fairy tales in the swap comments below. This is not supposed to be a 'challenge' for your partner, so please select predominantly from Grimm, Andersen or Perrault. You may, however, include a less familiar tale, providing you also link to a readable online version.
- Send a decorated envelope containing a related surprise, both items tailored to at least one of your partner's favourite tales (outer & inner may relate to different favourites, or stick with one theme).
- Ensure your envelopes will withstand transit through the postal system (seal securely, will not tear etc). You may use any envelope of mailable dimensions or larger (min. 3.5 x 5†to comply with US postal regulations).
- Send on time!
The obvious bit
As well as meeting requirements as outlined on group homepage participants must have no late swaps on their dashboard, no 3 ratings in the last 3 months, and no 1 ratings in the last 12 months. I will check before assigning partners, so please contact me if you are concerned. I will take extenuating circumstances into account, but the happy swapping of the majority is the most important factor.
