Description: | |
Create one standard sized ATC depicting part of a song that inspires emotion in you. The image can be of any medium except pencil sketch (yes, pen sketches are fine if they are clean and well done). The song lyrics MUST NOT appear on the image itself. Here's why: Instead of going the easy, predictable route, put the line or lines that inspire your image on the /back/ of the ATC as a reference for the image and nothing more. On the back you should also give credit to the artist who performs or created the song you quote. By "part of a song" I mean a chorus or one line, two lines, a singular image that the song either paints by itself, or evokes in you. I advise against trying to depict an entire song. This is not /exactly/ a personal emotional reaction that you should be trying to depict. You're trying to depict the image that provokes a reaction in you. I'll give an example - Say I really had a strong reaction to the lines "dont' feed me violins, just run with me through rows of speeding cars" in Imogen Heap's "Speeding Cars". I would draw out my interpretation of that image. On the back of that ATC would be that line spelled out, with "copyrighted to Imogen Heap" and of course my signature. No, your image does not have to be of the particular line in the song that inspires emotion in you. I understand that may be impossible in some more abstract cases. Should you try to depict the line that inspires you? By all means, yes!! Take some time on this, make it something you would happily put on your wall. Enjoy! |
