Description:

For a long time, I have wanted to do a bag from a man's jacket! Try this burlap tote. You don't have to use a jacket, But, hey, the pockets are already there! Don't worry about making the flower either! Make 1 tote!

This patern looks like so much fun. This website has a lot of other fun sewing tutorials. It is a beautiful blog.

I left a e-mail comment for Nancy Reid regarding how interesting her blog and her bags are that she has posted. I did mention about making the tote bag as well. In her reply to me she suggested using interfacing in the bag so it would hold up better.

If you use a man's jacket, leaving as much intact as you can, interfacing is going to make it really thick. At least on mine it will. Am trying to figure a way to keep the inside pockets still useable!. Any suggestions!?

You come up with such great projects. Just when I think I have finished, you find another one I just have to do!

knitmom7 02/11/2011 #

Ah, thanks, rosiefsw! I'm trying!

Nancy is interested in seeing how each of the tote bags turns out. Is there a flickr group for free pattern creations?

I did not take a pic of mine before I sent....
