Number of swap partners:4
Description:

This is just a simple fabric swap. We will be sending TWO 9"x9" squares of fabric to EACH of your partners (you will have four). This means you will be sending 8 squares of fabric. Hopefully after about 9 swaps, you will have enough to make a queen size quilt. You can join as many as you want. There are no material requirements and it's sender's choice, so feel free to send your leftovers, if you have any. If you don't like the fabric you got, reswap it in the next one (no one says you have to keep it). DON'T give the sender a bad rating. If your partner sends you a fabric square measuring 9"x9", then they get a five regardless of your preferences! If you like the fabric, give them a heart.

Newbies welcome with a well filled profile and everyone must have a rating of 4.8 and higher. No recent 1's or 3's. That means 1's must be at least 6 months old and 3's must be at least 3 months old. I will be checking profiles and if I have questions or concerns, I will message you. I will angel if necessary (but I pray it isn't, this really isn't that hard). :D

I don't understand 8.5 x 9 inches -- that is not square and if I want to put it together eventually, the pieces won't go together squarely either. Please clarify this.

I looked up what size a quilt would have to be, for a queen size mattress (U.S. measurements), with some overhang. The measurements are 102" x 112". Basically, the squares would have to be a little off (8" x 8.5") plus a half an inch to account for shrinkage (8.5" x 9"). So, you would have all the same sized sides face each other. You should have 12 squares across the top with the 8" side on top, and 14 squares down the side with the 8.5" side on the side. That way, the squares match up. If that doesn't make sense, message me and I can explain further. Hope that clears it up for ya. (:

can we not just make them 9x9 or 9.5 x 9.5? (that's a standard ruler size and makes it easy...doing it your way it is a hassle to cut.

Alright, I changed it to 9X9. Hope that helps. (:

I would love to do this ... however, need to know if I will get my partners soon? I am leaving for vacation on 2/23 and will not be back until 3/7 but would love to do this swap and if I could get partners before 2/22, I can still be in!! Let me know and I would love to join.
