Description:

Pretty plain and simple. I want to swap stories.

-What makes you, you? -What has shaped you? -Basically your life in short form.

It has been shown that when we look back on our lives, we learn a lot about ourselves. I have done several speeches sharing my story, and now it's your turn!

This may be typed or written! Contact your partner if there are any sexual/lewd/profanity to make sure that is all right.

You have a couple weeks to write and send. Include what you feel like you need to write, what you want to write and remember to respect the privacy of your partner when commenting. Aim to have at least 2 pages. Some stories take more than others, but try to put some thought and detail into it please.

Newbies welcome, no one with excessive 1 & 3's...unless explained. Feel free to ask me anything!

Is there a page requirement? Thanks.

some stories are too sad to tell..

susieq11 01/27/2011 #

@AndrewLips - some are truly sad but getting it out is good. I would never judge you. Everyone's circumstances are different.

I agree I mean I have been through a lot, seen a lot, etc Also I am in school for human services so it's nice to hear stories that I may eventually hear in my field and it will help me to be ready for that as well.

@andrewlips putting it on paper and sending out sometimes helps lift a burden you carry

Page requirements have been added! And trust me, my story is sad! But, I plan on writing it all!

Hi. I just signed up for this exchange. It sounds very interesting. I've always loved reading diaries and biographies. I believe everyone's life has a story to be told. But what now? Are we waiting for the end of the SIGN UP deadline to be assigned someone??? Or do we make copies of our story and send it to everyone who's joined this swap? I'm new to this site and have only done one swap so far. I don't have any ratings yet but I'm a faithful and loyal swapper.

You can write your story out (mine has been done for a little while now) and then when the swap deadline is over, I will have swap-bot assign the partners and you can send if off to your partner. Or you can wait for the deadline to write it. You will send it to one person when the time comes though :)

Does the story have to be written by hand? Or is a computer - generated / typed story acceptable?

frecklessobe 02/ 5/2011 #

typed is fine. Mine is WAY too long to write it all out, so I typed it. But that is totally up to you. I plan on sending mine out typed, but you can handwrite it if you want to!

What does "Type 2: Flat mail" mean? Does that mean you shouldn't fold it? We're MAILING these via Snail Mail, is that correct?

RyuLuna 02/12/2011 #

@cerealgirl It just means it's a normal mail swap. We are mailing it via snail mail. Feel free to fold it. Swap-Bot has a system of swaps:

1: being email 2: being regular mail 3: being a package.

:) Hope I helped!
