Make a junk journal! This is a journal that is pasted and stitched with fibers, ticket stubs, vintage ephemera, magazines, and more. You will hand bind the book, and use the following links as inspiration: http://www.johwey.com/2010/06/09/art-journal-nostalgia-1/ and http://www.johwey.com/2010/06/09/inside-nostalgia-art-journal/ but again, it's meant for inspiration! Create your OWN work of art! Make it amazing, and something YOU are proud of. Don't feel like you have to make it look like the links above. It's just inspiration. You'll have one partner. Make a book that really emulates that "junk journal" feeling. Each page is handmade, by pasting pieces of papers together: junk mail, old catalogs, used books and magazines, and any material really that is destined to be thrown away. Then, you'll hand bind them! Remember: AT LEAST 30 pages in this book. Make it with love, then create a beautiful cover of your choice. USA only, so we can really put a lot into the book, without worrying about going broke mailing it! The book should contain at LEAST 30 pages. The theme of the book is sender's choice, but please try to send something your partner won't absolutely hate.

just a quick question--how are you counting the pages?

example: if I fold a piece of paper in half would you count that as two or four pages?

Oh wow. I really really really want to join, but I don't want to commit unless I'm certain I can do it. I've been wanting to do something like this for awhile, and yet... Ah! Not sure. And the sign up date is so soon!

I have wondered about putting it together as well but it is such a coolo idea Im going to do it and worry about the other later, I am probably basing my concept after the remains of the day jorunals. go to you tube and look for inspiration. flickr has some beautiful ideas also.

pages requirement was posted above and I hope size is up to our discretion because I started mine and found a smaller scale easier for me to work on. Mine is going to be about 6 x 6. once i got focused it really started coming together rather quickly.

just another thought, since mine is a small scale I will be adding many more pages to compensate so if your my partner dont worry about getting stiffed on this project.

hi there! The minimum size should be 6x6, you can make it larger, though, if you want to. 30 pages in this book (that means 60 front and back)

I'm confused? The swap says 30 pages, so I assumed it was like a book where the front side would be one then the back would be 2 and so on. Now you are saying 60 pages? Just want to be sure. Thanks

One side is fine, to alter. Just make your partner happy! It doesn't have to be EXACTLY the 6x6, so long as your partner is happy, and your creativity flowers!
