Description:

Hello fellow cupcake lovers! For this swap, you are invited to create a ready-to-assemble cupcake toppers kit for your partner.

Each kit should include:

  • one set of clearly written instructions on how to make the craft
  • the pieces for the basic materials needed to make 12 toppers (minimally 1 front piece, 1 backing piece, and 1 pick for each topper)
  • a photo of 1 completed topper OR one finished topper so your partner can see what the finished product would look like (this can be directly printed onto your note to your partner)

The design for the toppers can be whatever you choose. You could also include optional embellishments, ribbons for bows, etc. if you wish. Kits do not need to include basic materials such as glue, tape, etc. and you do not need to include a finished topper unless you choose to do so.

Toppers can consist of paper (so long as at least one side is cardstock), fabric, clay, or any other sturdy material that you choose, with the exception of pre-made foam shapes. The idea here is to send a nice kit that the recipient could pull out of the package and immediately put together, so every main portion of the topper should be there.

This kit will be profile-based and created especially for your partner, so please be sure you have a very well-filled profile of likes and dislikes! If you need additional ideas on what might be pleasing for the kit you send, please don't be shy about asking your partner to add additional information to his or her profile. You will have one month to make the kit after partners are assigned, so please do your best to put together a package that will make your partner smile!

The kit should also be packaged in a pleasing way. This doesn't mean it has to be fancy, just neatly done and something more than just sliding the contents into a plain envelope. Don't forget to protect your package so that the contents do not become damaged in transit as well.

You'll make one set of toppers to make someone else happy..and in the meantime, someone else will be making a set especially for you, too!

This swap would also make a really great gift for someone, so...something to consider as maker and recipient. :)

I am watching this one. I need to get a few swaps out the door ;)

Can we include a finished topper instead of a pic?

@homeandheart Sure, that sounds fine. :) I'll edit the swap to reflect that.
