Description:

Welcome to our first themed fiber swap on swap-bot! The theme for our first swap is: Buggin' Out. With Halloween right around the corner, I'm thinking creepy crawly inspired fiber!

Each swap must contain 4 oz of fiber- at least 3.5 of those must be actual fiber for spinning- the other .50 oz can be snippets, sparklies, trims, bobbles and bits (be creative) that can be spun or incorporated into the yarn.

Though you are not required to include other non-spinning themed treats, please feel free to do so. Surpsrises are always welcome!

Please be sure to post pictures to the Fluff Candy group on Flickr of the swap you are sending, the swap you have received and a photo of the finished yarn you've spun from your swap fibers when finished. If you are not already a member of Fluff Candy, please check out our link and join us! We're a new group and this is our first organized swap.

Hey Elizabeth! Thanks for getting this started. I'm already getting my little buggies in a row. Can't wait to start swapping & spinning. ~angela

Can uncarded fibers and locks be sent or is carded batts or roving preferred? I have tons of raw and loose fibers, but I could probably come up with something ready to spin if need be.

Any thoughts on this? I wouldn't want to join the swap and send anyone the wrong type of fibers.

For myself, I'm happy to receive anything. I love working with uncarded fibres and locks, but I'm also more than happy to work with carded batts or roving.

Is there going to be a flickr group or forum to post what we receive and what we make from it?

There is a flickr group for this swap and future swaps- Fluff Candy.... you can follow the link posted above on this page to join. Feel free to send uncarded fibers/locks if thats what you've got to share. We'll take it all!

I was thinking of sending a little of each - I have some angora that is lucious but in a fairly natural state. And then there's the goodies . . .

I hope I did the right thing and wrote a note to include with my swap box. There wasn't a "secret" component to this, right? Because I sent my box out this morning for monday delivery and blabbed all about myself. I am really looking forward to seeing if I did this right! I'll be attempting to post on Flickr next.

I received my swap today which made me feel really bad as my package has drive back and forth with me to work twice this week and both times I missed the post office closing by around 2 minutes!I will send it out tomorrow! Promise!

My package was fantastic! so much thought was put into the fibers and extras... I loved it. Picture to follow soon :)
