I think that it would be nice to put together a nice set of blocks that can add something to a quilt or the receiver can make more blocks and make a quilt of these. I love the idea of combining Bow Tie Quilt Blocks with Buttons in a block to make a unique presentation. So here is the link to the pattern for the bow tie -- http://delawarequilts.com/BOMs/3DBowTies. Each block will be 3D and add a nice coordinating button with it (not too small, but suits the size of the bow tie centre). I think it would be great if we all use white as our background fabric to add some consistency to the blocks when we receive them from our partners. Since these blocks will take a bit more time there is a lot of lead time to make them. In addition, by having 3 swap partners you can make a 4th for you so when you receive your 3 you have a nice set of 4 to get you started. I would love to swap twice...anyone else who wants to do that let me know. I can't angel this swap so no flaking. As a non-American I welcome any international swappers. I think it is great to get fabrics from around the world. |
