Description:

Have any magazines kicking around that you are not using? Or did you want to receive a new type of magazine that you may not have read or see before? Love using images from different magazine for your crafts?

This swap should be pretty easy. If you have any magazines sitting around that you are done with, send it to your partner. You could even buy a new one to send if you would like. This is not profile specific, and the magazine does not have to be newer or from this year. Just try not to send one that you have already been cutting pictures and pages out of.

This should give those of us who enjoy using different components of magazines a chance to use and see new images and styles.

Local magazines are ok, as long as they have colored pages and are comparable to national magazines on the newsstand. Please be courteous to your partner and do not send something that you would not like to receive.

Newbies are welcome and anyone with a 4.9 rating or above. I will angel if need be, but let's hope everyone does their part. If there are magazines that you do not want, please post it in the comments section. No adult magazines unless specified by your partner.

If you live in the United States and would prefer to swap regionally to save on postage, I have set up a USA only Magazine Swap as well. You can find it here: US Only Mag Swap

(If I forgot anything, please let me know)

I would rather not receive Women's Health, Fitness, or All You because I already have subscriptions to these. I def do not mind adult magazines. (They usually have hilarious cartoons that I can use for various projects)

if the person sending to me is from a non-english speaking country, i'll be happy to receive a magazine in whatever language is spoken in your country. i've always been interested in other languages, and who knows, maybe i'll be able to learn some new words

I have soooooo many local crafting and beading magazines that are in mint condition from this year and I don't have the heart to throw away. This swap would be an ideal way to pass them on. I would prefer an english magazine, any kind.

I have foreign magazines. Makes great backgrounds for collage and mixed-media adding that element of mystery (most are travel mags so pretty pix). I can do private swaps, but would have to know right away as I'm leaving town Sunday for extended time. Would love to trade for a craft magazine, especially anything Somerset (see profile). I"'m also joining the swap.

I love magazines in foreign languages. Especially anywhere in Asia!!!!! If my partner is from outside of the US, please don't send me magazines with all English articles please ^_^

lilysmommy 01/ 3/2011 #

I love magazines from other countries.

So, the magazines are for crafting, not for reading? I ask because I have TONS of magazines that are a little bit cut up... you know, a few pages missing, some images cut out already. I would be happy to get a magazine like this, but maybe some people would be upset, like I'm sending them junk or something.

My question is, what condition should the magazines be in?

K80 01/ 4/2011 #

It should not be cut up unless you pass it by your partner first. If your partner is ok with receiving a magazine that has been cut up, than that is fine. If you do not pass it by your partner and they receive one in poor condition, than they can rate you down. I'm sure it wouldn't be a big deal to some, but others might want to use it for something else. Communication with your partner is key for this issue. Thank you for asking.

Hey, I'd love to recieve a magazine not from the U.S. In a language other than english would be awesome; I'd like to explore pages of a world I don't know....That's it. I have a magazine already to send in mind, it's large and in color..and a treat ;)

Mello 01/10/2011 #

No Martha Stewart for me please - have a subscription for that one. Would love to receive anything crafty, have some faves on my profile. Don't mind if in english or any other language.

holymolar 01/10/2011 #

I don't mind what you send me, as long as it has all it's pages. If your International I'd love to get a magazine written in your language or that is unique to your country.

marlz 01/11/2011 #

hello! i don't mind adult magazines. i'd definitely love fashion mags (but not ones like CLEO, Glamour), art or music mags would be great too! i do not want to receive any sports or fitness mags please. and it would be great if the pages were all intact but i don't mind if its just a page or two cut out. i want to read the magazines and not really use them. any language is fine! zines and broadsheets are very welcomed! thanks!

yourkitty 01/11/2011 #

Hi, everyone! I'm reallu excited for this swap, it's a great idea! :-)

I'd love any kind of photography, music, art, fashion, or culture magazine - or something with a feminist perspective!

Like Marlz above me, I'd prefer not to receive a sports or fitness mag, and, as she says, "it would be great if the pages were all intact but i don't mind if its just a page or two cut out."

I'm from France, but I like mags in any language, and I'll try to send my partner something she likes! (In French or in English) :-)

This should be really fun! ^ ^

KrisKringle 01/11/2011 #

I would love anything to do with:

  • writing

  • cooking

  • family fun (which I can't get here)

Nothing cut up please, as it is for reading :-)

KrisKringle 01/11/2011 #

And please, I would like it in English.

saskwoman 01/11/2011 #

i would like a womens magazine with all the pages in it ,as it is for readig..........

grababubble 01/11/2011 #

I am looking forward to a new magazine. Adult mags Ok. Something local would be neat, doesn't have to be english. Just have cool pictures :) Not really interested in fitness or sports.

MiaYoung 01/12/2011 #

I'd like to receive anything other than fitness and sports magazines please! (: Thanks !

theannieHall 01/12/2011 #

oh and if its english thats okay too anything other than fitness and sports please . olddd magazines are great too thanks

iloveletters 01/13/2011 #

I'm open to all kinds of magazines, it is just for the fun of it.... That is why I think it is also strange that a lot of people have special requests in the comment sections. The swap is not profile based and the description was just talking about ANY magazine that one is done with....Am I wrong?

iloveletters 01/13/2011 #

and: If I live in a non-English-speaking country the mag will not be in English. If I wanted to have an English mag it would cost far too much here than in the original country.

velma 01/15/2011 #

I thought just same than iloveletters. This should be senders choice and still some people have many restrictions.... English magazines are here quite expensive, so I hope that my partner don't want magazine for reading.

So, I'm open for all kinds of magazines (not those adult ones though).
