THE CLAY LOOKS LIKE WET PAPER.KEEP A GLASS OF WATER HANDY.THE CLAY DRIES FAST, SO WET IT TO KEEP IT MOIST. MOLD IT TO YOUR HANDS.( ARE SHAPE IT ANY WAY YOU WISH.) YOU USUALLY WOULD MAKE YOUR OWN SHAPE BUT SINCE WE ARE MAKING ONE MEDTATION BOWL FOR "2" PARTNERS MOLD IT ANYWAY YOU THINK, YOUR PARTNER WOULD LIKE. WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED MOLDING.SET ASIDE FOR 24 HRS. SAND LIGHTLY. PICK OUT A COLOR OR A FEW COLORS THAT YOUR PARTNER LIKES OR MAKE A PRETTY ONE WITH THE COLORS YOU PICK OUT.RATINGS: 4.5 AND HIGHER. can i see a picture of one? i am in the eu but maybe i could do an eu swap like this one....and also i have to know a bit more about the clay and where to find one here.hmm but it sounds like a lovely swap idea:)

The 'clay' is papier mache. I've also seen recipes where you just use torn strips of newsprint to make stuff. You can use a balloon as a form-wrap the strips all the way around the balloon one at a time until you have about 3 layers thick. They take awhile to dry. I use the vano liquid starch undiluted to dip the paper in. To make bowls you could cover a whole balloon, let dry, then cut it in 1/2. You'd need to make some sort of base for it. You could cut some cardboard and make a bottom then cover that with papier mache too. I might have to try this!
