Description:

For this swap I am thinking let's take something we found-at a thrift store, fleamarket, the trash bin (yes,really!)-feeling quite sure we could do something with it and actually DO something with it for our partners!

To give you examples-the picture is of a headband and wristcuff I made up from part of a roll of wool for rugmaking. I found a BIG BAG of rolls of wool at my local GoodWill-feeling sure I could do something with them (besides make rugs!)! So far I have made belts, headbands and wristcuffs. Other projects are in the works! I have also rescued cardboard tubes from the trash and turned them into pencilcups and bases for pincushions..You get the idea!

Nothing too big or heavy or fancy here. (That block of wood you saved might be awesome, but,do you really want to pay to ship that off?!)

This is totally senders' choice-so you don't need to wait for a partner to be assigned to start! I think most of us already have materials on hand just waiting for this swap! Have fun!!

Hello- I just joined in on this. Sounds great and I love to up-cycle boxes by covering them with designer pattern paper and embellishments. I'm a Modge Podge addict!

One question- I'm not sure how senders' choice work. If anyone in the group sees this and can send me a brief message to explain that would be great-or if you want to post here, I'll check back every few days or so for a comment response.
Thanks and looking forward to it!

Sorry to take so long getting back to you, papermoments! I managed to slice almost right through a finger tip and have to go get 6 stitches! (they are still in there, actually!)

What sender's choice means is that you can make whatever you would like to make (for example your boxes). You don't have to wait to find out if your partner wants a box or not.

I am a Mod Podge addict,too! :)

Thanks RadicalRecrafter! Hope the finger is on the mend! Been there, done that. . .nearly took the entire tip of my left index finger off while building a model house in college. . .I've got ya beat! Had to have seven stitches. . .I couldn't even believe they could fit 7 stitches on the end of my finger?? Feel better soon! : )

lol @ papermoments! I know just what you mean! They must take a special "sewing" course!

Don't you wonder afterwards how on earth you managed NOT to do something like that earlier?! :D
