Description:

You will create for one partner a chunky row house that has any theme.

Size:each house should be between 3” and 4” wide, and no more than 7” tall.

Shape: should be shaped like a house, however houses do come in many different shapes, so be creative (just see above for size requirements)

Please ensure that the house is made out of a strong base - plain old paper is not sufficient, you want something sturdy that can handle layers of stuff. (cereal cardboard, etc)

Each house can be whatever the sender wants, but it is nice to check out your partner's profile and see the kind of things that they like. Also you do not have to create on both of the house sides, but please include you name and date somewhere on the house so when people show them off they know who made them!

When mailing your house please try to protect it from bending.

You will have 3 weeks from sign up date to create your house, so that should be plenty of time to get this done.

Side note: Art comes in many different shapes and sizes and something you don't like someone else might so please please please be open minded! Everyone deserves to share their art with the world!

Please no flakers, but newbies are very welcome with well filled profile. If you have to much going on in your life please do not sign up. I will angel this swap if need be, but please let me know if you have been flaked on. I am a new coordinater so please bear with me.

NO unexplained 3s or 1s. You must have a 4.5 rating unless you are unrated. Newbies beware if you flake your first rating will ruin your chances of getting into other great swaps.

If you have any questions please feel free to email or PM me.

I have no idea what this is, and could not find anything on google, except landofnodstudios altered art.....is this what this swap is? A link to some photos would be helpful. This looks very exciting-I want to be sure we are on the same page here, though....Thank you!! = )

helpful links would be nice !!!

do the houses have to look like houses? or can they be like what you might see if you looked into our thoughts, or minds being the 'house' as seen in a fewof the 'rooms' of these houses in this book. (i love that book. very inspiring).

dreamerkins 11/ 6/2010 #

also, there is a 'look inside' feature for that book, for ideas. you only get a couple of the houses, but it might help give inspiration, if the regular house design decorating is second/third/way behind the collage/art itself.

I did find a few examples, its like a chunky page that shaped like a house. I have that book, In this House, its great. Chunky is more about dimension. Hummm could be fun!!

Okay I am truely sorry that I did not explain what a chunky house is. Here is a link from another site (sorry best I could do) of examples of chunky houses.

A chunky house is a paper craft that is in the measurement from above that is the shape of any house. It can be literally or very artsy. All it has to do is look like a house in shape. There is no requirements other than the measurements. They are like ATCs only shaped like a house. Some crafters collect chunky houses and make little cities. There are no wrong way to make a chunky house just follow the measurements and make it in the shape of a house. That is it GO crazy!

I'm excited! If people decide they're into this, maybe you could set up another chunky house swap later? One chunky house looks lonely... It needs a neighborhood. :)

mrsdutton 11/ 8/2010 #

I agree I would love to! We will see what happens!

Dakini55 11/ 9/2010 #

Me too!!

queenelisheba 11/16/2010 #

mrsdutton 11/16/2010 #

That is Great! I hope to coordinate many more of these but I am scared because this is the first time I will be sending my houses to anyone other than my family and friends.
