@knitmom7 asked if I would host a simplified version of my round robin mailart zine project and here it is! Each participant will take one 8 1/2 by 11 (or A4 sheet for our international friends) sheet of 110lb. cardstock or 90 lb watercolor paper and fold it in half giving you what looks like a large notecard. Tape the note card shut and treat it as a postcard. On one side, create some postcard art. It is your choice whether you want to paint, collage, draw or whatever. On the back write a note to your partner, add the address and stamps and mail it away. When you receive your partner's large postcard, cut open the tape fold it inside-out, and create postcard art on one side, note, address and stamps on the other and mail it back to the person who sent it to you. Each person will end up with a two sided creation consisting of your art and your partner's. Your "postcard" needs to be in the mail by December 15. When you recieve your partner's card, you have two weeks to mail it back out to them. You can see some pictures of my round robin zine swap here . For this swap we are just using a single sheet of cardstock so instead of a booklet, it just has 2 sides. I believe whole-heartedly in rating fairly and good communication. Please stay in contact if you run into any issues with sending. Please do not sign up if you don't think you can do both parts of the swap. |
