Description: | |
Sugar Skulls are a tradition for Dia De Los Muertos or The Day of the Dead. It is a day traditionally celebrated by people in South America but also by some here in the United States. It is a very colorful display celebrating the life of people who have passed away. Sugar Skulls are very colorful and beautiful. A way of turning something sad into something beautiful. For this swap you will have two partners and will make each one a Sugar Skull bookmark. You can make them skull shaped or rectangle like traditional bookmarks. But, make them colorful. Embellish, paint, stamp, use fibers etc....as you wish. Make something that you would love. Google Sugar Skulls and you will see tons of examples of how beautiful they can be. I am going to leave this swap open to newbies because I believe it is so inspiring because of the use of color and design it is almost free-form and simple. I've even seen melted crayon ones before that were beautiful. Have fun! |
