Description:

I've started this swap to help new members get a quick mail rating, because I can remember how anxious I was to hear that my first postcard had arrived.

You will send 1 postcard to your partner, and on the back you will write the answer to a question without telling them what the original question was.

For example, if I decided that my question was "When did you last cut your toenails?" I would write TUESDAY on the card. Because I did.

If I decided that my question was "What is your favourite song by the Beatles?" I would write I HATE THE BEATLES on the card. Because I do. Sorry :D

Other example answers are: 'In the kitchen while my cat watches', 'Tuesday mornings, Friday mornings but never on a Wednesday afternoon' and 'Sandwiches'.

When your partner receives the card they will need to rate you (see what I did there?) to find out the original question which will put the answer in context. You can either tell them, or forever leave them guessing for kicks but the first option is probably nicer! This is going to be a fairly quick swap, and as it's focused on new users unrated swappers are obviously welcome. Established swappers are very welcome, as well :)

I'll pm and possibly ban anyone I get a bad feeling about, because even though you'd think postcards aren't attractive to flakers apparently they are.

Nice decorations, stickers and cute drawings to illustrate or torment your partner as to what the question might be would be very much appreciated. However, the minimum requirement is that it contains the answer to a question- don't forget to add your username and the swap title.

This is my first time hosting a swap, so be patient :)

Before you ask: yes, dead cat cards are fine!

Hey, how did you know I was gonna ask if that was o.k? (haha)

Can the dead cat cards be ad cards?

papercaper 10/12/2010 #

Btw, what a clever way to make sure you get rated, swaphost. And an even cleverer way to ensure <3s! I mean, if my partner wants me to reveal what the question was and all.

Just kidding!!

(Or am I?)

I have my eyes on you, papercaper play nicely :)

what a cool idea!

tatzle 10/13/2010 #

any PC will do? :D

ari3lla 10/13/2010 #

Yeah, the PC is less important than the message. Obviously it should be something you would want to receive yourself and bonus points if it links to your question but yup, any PC.

Man I am pushing it to the last day! I got my card, I just have to make a trip to the post office tomorrow! (I am out of stamps)

BelleoftheHome 10/22/2010 #

I sent, but after I addressed and put a stamp on it, I realized I didnt want it to get mess up on its long journey! So I put it in an envelope! So dont be confused partner! LOL!

ari3lla 10/22/2010 #

Haha, I sent mine ages after I actually wrote it because I never have stamps when I need them, either :)

Most people have marked sent now, but I'll give people a few days to mark sent in case they just haven't gotten a chance to do so. This is an international swap so they could take some time to arrive, but any problems let me know :) xxx
