Is there a particular size of journal expected? I make a lot of small pocket sized journals (smaller than 5x7), but wouldn;'t want a partner to feel cheated because they wanted or were expecting something larger. I'll check back to look for an answer. Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing! :^) I love making small ATC-sized (like pocket sized) or thereabouts journals too. I'm going to sign up and if there is feedback that other people would feel disappointed or cheated then I'll just drop, no hard feelers.

I would also like to know the size thats expected.I dont mind small journals but would perfer a bit larger.Mine are normaly the 9x9 1/2 size. Also is Card Stock type paper fine and in white? Need a little additional input. Thanks

Size is a good point, now I am wondering about that, too. I don't mind mini journals, although I'd prefer a bit larger ones, too. But if one person sends a large one and receives a little that can end up in disappoinment, I think.

I prefer larger journals (like composition books), but wouldn't mind smaller ones... I think it would be nice to get a couple of small ones in exchange of my larger one... Or then set the size on small.

FairyBotMother 09/ 9/2006 #

I make small journals also, since others do too, why not make two small ones in place of one larger one?

jagoda 09/10/2006 #

I don't make journals and intend to buy mine. The instructions for the swap say that is fine, but will everybody be pissed at me, because they made theirs themselves?

alex 09/10/2006 #

well...i bought my journal, quite a large one, and have customized it myself, it is all ready to wing its way to wherever...hope this is ok, guess the trick is for us not to have any expectations and just receive the gift?

user3189 09/13/2006 #

I'll be happy with whatever I end up with - that's part of signing up for a swap, right? If you get a store bought one for me- at least start it off for me. Put something fun on the first few pages or dark. Whatever you feel like.

On another note- I finished the Art journal I'm mailing to my partner and its posted on my blog. Just the cover, not the work inside. :) :) :) Don't look if you want to be surprised, especially since we don't have out partners yet. Darlene...your journal looks fab...hoping I am your partner, I just sent mine out to a fellow UK swopper!

user3189 09/26/2006 #

Has anyone received their journals yet?

GracieBella 09/27/2006 #

I sent mine out today! So should be there in a few weeks. To Victoria!

Zmrzlina 09/27/2006 #

I sent mine out over the weekend. I altered a store bought journal. Hoping it arrives at its destination soon and the recipient will enjoy the added touches and my bit of a ramble.

user90 09/27/2006 #

I sent mine out one week ago. Haven't heard anything back yet.

alex 09/27/2006 #

Thanks for the sweet journal, Lori. It arrived today with the postcard for the Unusual Swap and for the extra surpises. I have decided to use it to keep a journal of things that make me happy and grateful for. It seems a shame to spoil such a nice book with moans.

Very sweet journal from Kathleen in NZ. My favorite color and lots of images featuring my favorite things. Thank you Kathleen!
