Description:

New name, same swap! I can name two songs with those lyrics, so I thought I'd make it the swap title!

This is my "Send an Unsent Letter" swap, take 2!

Writing letters can be therapeutic. Sometimes there are things we need to say that we can't or shouldn't say out loud. So writing all of it down is a great way to express ourselves without getting us into "trouble".

I call these letters "unsent" letters because we never intend to send them to the person we are addressing, but sometimes we still need those words to be heard. So, in this swap, we're sending them to our partner!

In this swap, you will write a letter to someone, anyone that is not your swap partner. Do you still have feelings for an ex? Is that coworker driving you crazy? Wanna tell your kindergarten teacher how much they meant to you? Wanna tell that person from the news story how you feel about their situation? Do you have some mommy issues that you need to hash out? This letter can be to anyone you know or even a complete stranger!

So, here are the requirements:

  • One letter to that other person you need to say something to

    • I am not putting a page limit on this. Because some of us use stationary and some of us use full notebook pages. Just please write a letter you would enjoy receiving. Simply scribbling, "Hey mom, You drove me nuts in high school." is not sufficient for this swap!
  • An intro letter (i.e. shorter) to your partner giving a summary of the situation in the unsent letter (who the person is to you, etc.).

    • This letter will be short, that's ok. For you stationary users, probably a page or a little less. For the notebook paper users, maybe half a page? Again, just don't scribble "Mom - we fought a lot" on a post-it note.
  • Don't forget to identify the swap as well as your swap-bot user name

Newbies are welcome, please have a filled out profile so that I know you love swapping as much as the rest of us! As for those of you with "not-so perfect" ratings, I'll be reviewing profiles to make sure I don't see a risk to the swap before approving partners. Please do not sign-up for this swap if you don't think you can send it. It's no fun to be flaked on.

I am hoping this is popular enough to do it again in the future. I know I have a lot of unsent letters I want to write!

Any questions? Just post them below!

I can't wait to see you in my swap. :)
