I've seen this hosted in the public swaps, though not in a long time and I don't remember who hosted it. I'm not claiming this as an original idea. We will be making one bookmark for our one partner. The base of the bookmark will be one of those paint swatches you can get for free anywhere they sell paint. Please use one that has at least three color examples on it. (As shown in the photo.) We will be altering these swatches. The back can be decorated/covered however you like as long as you do something with it. When decorating the front you must leave some of each color visible. Here are some examples I found on flickr: You can draw, paint, collage, etc. Use whatever technique you'd like as long as it's decorated. You could do one theme across the whole bookmark or a different theme in each square. You can leave the names of the colors showing or cover them up. The color you choose and the theme you use are sender's choice. Though it is always nice to look at your partner's profile and see what colors they enjoy, it is not a requirement of the swap. I would encourage everyone to upload theirs to flickr and post a link to the photo in the comments so we can see what everyone came up with! Any questions please ask below. |
