Description:

Let's make a quiltie for Halloween! Your finished product must have top, batting (center), back. These should also be bound on the sides. Please sign and date the back of the quiltie or have a label, if you have a personal label you attach to your sewing projects. The finished product must be between 13x13 inches and 15x15 inches finished. It doesn't have to be square. This must be Halloween themed. Also you must have 5 different objects on the quiltie, for example: a jack-o-lantern, a black cat, a bat, a cauldron, and a witch. You can have more.

You can use buttons, lace, rick-rack, patches, applique, 3-D embellishments, single earrings, plastic pieces. Absolutely anything goes! Please, make this creatively and nicely. Don't just slap different items onto the fabric and call it done. Put thought and effort into this!

No tricks! Only treats!!! This is sender's choice, so you can start making your quiltie now!

Also send your partner a Halloween card/note (handmade or purchased) that tells them about the quiltie's story, if there is one when you put it together, or tell them about your favourite Halloween memory.

Who can join Newbies welcome with filled out profile, at least 5 snail mail swaps completed, and a 5 rating. No 1s in the last 6 months. No unexplained 3s in the last 3 months. I will be checking profiles.

That is really cool! Did you make that or did you find it on Flickr?

Hi, I found it on Flickr. :)

Does the 5 things on quilt have to be something 3d or can they be a part of the fabric on the squares, etc.?

OpheliaQuilts 09/27/2010 #

Good question! No, they don't have to be 3D.
