Description:

Send one partner a journal of your choosing (3x5 by 5x5 at least, this is the size of a pocket moleskine) and write a journal prompt on each page that your partner can use on that page, at least 50 pages with prompts must be sent to your partner. try to not take up anymore than 1/4 to a half of each page to write the prompts because if our partner wants to do the prompt below where you wrote it they will need room. Try to make it look nice. maybe paint two ot three pages or use different fonts or stencils for a few of the prompts. The point of this is to get some artistic inspiration. Because this is an art journalling group, try to make them as artsy as possible. One idea I have would be to glue in a picture of a person and make the prompt say "draw wings on him" , so these prompts can be interactive if you want them to be. For examples of neat formats for the prompts, look online for a book called "wreck this journal". We are artists here so we wont be doing wrecking! :) I just think the way the prompts are are good examples. Its so easy to think of prompts sometimes so im going to make some examples of what you could write:

1.) decorate the cover of this journal 2.) glue and paint this page with anything green you want. 3.)alter this photo 4.)fill this with stickers 5.) cake on layers of paint and glaze here. make it thick!

So when you recieve your journal, you can choose either to do these things over what your partner has written, do them under what theyve written, or just save the journal for when you need an idea. :) Anyone from our group is welcome with good ratings. This will be a short swap relatively speaking, but it is pretty simple. have fun with this :]

would love to join but it is not enough time for me from beginning to end. Looks like fun though!!!!

Please host this one again some time. My Sept. is just to busy to join this time.

Same here. Love the idea, totally bogged down with work stuff. HATE IT>

Oh how I would LOVE to do this! I will watch for now and see how many swaps I can finish tonight... I am a bit nervous though because I have been flaked recently on a journal I worked really hard on (my partner loved the journal I sent her)...

QUESTION: Can the prompt on the page be only one word? Sometimes I see a word and it triggers my imagination so well. I would of course have some prompts be longer than just one word, but I was just curious.

revolutionoise 08/22/2010 #

Yes thats cool :] Just do a variety maybe some short and some long.

Would love to do this swap at a later time. I have too many journals going right now. Have fun with this ladies!!

JavaJunkie 08/23/2010 #

Started working on it already! ♥

ANOTHER QUESTION: Is it okay if a few of my prompts are meant for two page spreads? I bought a 100 page journal and want to use up as much as possible (waste not, want not). There will still be at least 60 prompts.

I would love to join in this swap but I have just started work and will not get it finished in time, will keep the idea in mind and do one ready for another swap you host in this theme.

Yeah two page prompts are okay:]
