Description: | |
Hispanic Heritage Month is the period to recognize the contributions of Hispanic Americans to the United States and to celebrate Hispanic heritage and culture. The observation started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week was approved by President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period starting on September 15 and ending on October 15. For this swap, we will share one book with our partner by an Hispanic American author or subject matter. I LOVE Isabel Allende and this was the first novel of hers that I read, so I decided to use a photo this book. However, feel free to choose a book you enjoyed and one you think your partner will, too. Be sure to check their profiles for some help. Any genre, any time period. Nitty Gritty: USA only swap (National 'n all - postage should be nominal). No newbies and must have been rated for at least 10 package swaps. New and Gently Used books are appropriate and participants must have a rating of at least 4.9 with no 'no-sends' whatsoever. Any questions or comments, please feel free to ask!
