USA Only Version

This swap is for one handmade 100% cotton dishcloth. It can either be knit or crochet. I am thinking of doing a monthly swap with different colors. This month is Blue...any shade of blue or even combination with blue in it. Be creative. You will have one partner and will make one dish cloth.

Do not wait for partners to be assigned. Choose any pattern, get your blue yarn and get started right away.

This is not an expensive swap to complete. Please do not use designer cotton yarns for this project. These dishcloths are meant to be useful and durable.

No swappers with less than a 4.8.

If you're a newbie and want to join you must have a fully completed profile. Make sure you list your likes and dislikes Let us get to know you. Have fun and be creative.

Hi there! Very neat idea for a swap ... I really like your idea of doing a different color each month ... just wondering if you could give some parameters for the size? Perhaps minimum dimensions for a square/rectangle and perhaps a minimum diameter for hexagonal/circular dishcloths? Also, just wondering if maybe you could specify a yarn weight? I have seen some lovely dishcloths done in size 3 crochet thread, but if you are looking for durable, are you thinking maybe a worsted weight cotton yarn? Thanks!!!!!

When I am making dishcloths I normally cast on 32 stitches. I use the worsted weight cotton on my cloths. My cloths usually come out to be about 71/2 - 8 inches across.

I finished my dishcloth already. I'm so antsy...wish I could send it! Lol. Can you tell patience is not one of my virtues? ;)

I just joined and I thought this sounded like a great idea! Funnily enough, before finding this I was wondering what to do with a skein of cotton yarn I had that has blue in it. :) A washcloth sounds like a great idea.

I do like the idea of continuing these swaps of different colors. I will be watching for the next one to be set up! Thanks!

I like to use multi-color yarns. I have a lovely cotton blue, sea green, and white. Will this be ok for "blue"? Thanks
