Description:

Personally I love to crochet and have enjoyed crochet patterns from Japan. I've joined a Japanese Zakka Pattern Swap coordinated by deb ferguson before and enjoyed it a lot. No such swap is being held currently and that's why I'm doing another one myself.

This is an International Swap since package should be fairly light. DO NOT join this swap if postage is an issue for you.

You should send one Japanese pattern to your 2 partners or 2 different patterns to each partner as you wish. Please put some translation/explanation of the Japanese writing if possible to assist your partners to finish the project(s). The pattern could be for crocheting, knitting, sewing, etc. It could be for stuffies (Amigurumi), clothes, bags, etc.

Please make sure you look at your partners' profiles to see what kind of pattern you should send, e.g. the level of difficulty of the project, the type of craft, etc. Let your partners know if you had any allergy as you might receive fabric or yarn. To aim for heart, you could send materials needed for/related to the project, e.g. fabrics, yarn, stitich markers, needles, crochet hook, etc.

I do not 'angel' for no-sends, but this shouldn't be happening. To make sure we swap happily I could only accept participants with a rating of 5.0, no no-send and have at least 5 actual swaps (email/web swaps are NOT counted). Sorry, newbies are not allowed. If you slightly failed this requirement, you could PM me to talk about your situation. Otherwise, anyone who violates these requirements will be banned without further notice.

Some of you might order the Japanese Pattern books from Amazon.co.jp or other websites, so I would make the deadline long enough for you to purchase your own pattern book and this should reduce the chance of late-sending.

Feel free to contact me. This is my first time to hold a swap. Let me know if any description is unclear. Happy swapping!

I would love to sign up for this - I love the patterns I received last time but I'll be moving 2 times in the next month and my baby is due at Xmas so I don't want to sign up as I have no idea where my patterns will be.... Thanks for inviting me along. Enjoy the swap everyone! : )

Brooke, this is a great idea to tell what book you've got.

I've the Aumigurimi crochet book Vol. 1. Besides, some sewing and crochet patterns I've got from previous swap partners.

By the way, just want to emphasis that this swap should be done by post, not email. Thanks for joining.

Hi, just to let you know (esp. my partners) there was a postal strike in England and my package to you guys will be affected, i.e. it will take longer than usual for my package to arrive.

Anyone posting and receiving from England will be affected, so please be patient.

Coming out tomorrow to Huehuin and Sooz!
