OK, I'm bending the Swap-Bot system a little here, but bear with me, I think this will work.. The first four people to sign up for this swap will be the ones who participate. This means there will be five people including myself. We will each buy a 24 exposure disposable camera, mark it clearly with our name/swap-bot ID and send it to the person Swap-Bot says we are to swap with. We will then be recieving an empty disposable camera in the mail, we'll take six pictures with it and mail it on again to the same allocated person. In total we should recieve four different cameras, (from the same person each time), take six pictures with it and then mail it on again. If it works correctly we'll then get our original camera back complete with 24 photos taken by four strangers. It will then be up to us to get the camera processed and see what we get! I guess I should say at this point - no nudity please, that's a surprise we could maybe do without. A few other notes: This is an international swap, and you will have to send a camera four times for it to work, so please bear this in mind. Please send by airmail/global priority mail only, and pack well. As this is a trial, established swappers with good feedback (say 3.5+) only please. I'm afraid I'll remove you if you have no feedback or bad feedback this time. I may run another for newbies if it works OK. When you sign up, drop me a quick contact message. I'll run this on a first-come-first-in basis and the first four people I hear from (feedback allowing) will be in. I'll try to edit the sign up dates when we're all in to close the swap. The send out dates won't be binding as such, just please take your photos and send on the camera as soon as you can. Try not to hold on to the camera for more than 3-4 days. If you choose you can include a little booklet/piece of paper with your camera for the participants to record some details about the photos they have taken. You could also send a 36 exposure camera and have each person take 9 photos if you prefer. We can keep track of where the cameras are using the discussion below. That's it. If you've read this far and it all makes sense then jump on board. Let's see if it works! |
