I'm always amazed at how little paper it actually takes to make one card! I thought of this swap while going through all of my paper scraps, vowing to use all of them before digging into a new piece of patterned paper. By the time I went through a small pile of them, I had managed to make three cards with all the same elements, but laid out in a different way. So for this challenge swap, you will be given (1) one partner. You must send them (3) three cards that adhere to the following rules: The three cards must use all the same materials, but no card should look exactly like another. If you want to use the same layout on all three, the papers should be distributed differently! You must use each type of paper (cardstock and/or patterned) on each card. The idea here is to use only one sheet of each type to make all three cards, but you're on the honor system here. The cardstock used to make the base is excluded from this rule. Any embellishment that you use must be present on at least two out of three cards. Use discretion when using the same embellishment in a different color. Ribbons in different colors and patterns would not go with the nature of this challenge, but different colored paper flowers may, if they're the same type. If you are using stamped images, they should be the same image on all the cards, or a very closely tied theme (such as different stamps from a clear stamp pack). This also applies for other images such as vintage epherma. The color theme should be the same across all three cards. Sentiments may be different on each card. Different borders and corner punches, or textures on your paper are allowed. The goal of this challenge is to show how creative you are at making different cards using the same materials! If in the end, you have three cards that look like they were made to be a trio, you've done the challenge right! This swap will be sender's choice, but if you want a heart, check your partner's favorites and tailor it towards them. Newbies welcome! If you have flaked on anyone in the past 6 months (received a 1), please do not join unless you have a very good explanation! Displayed example in posted image. Angry, intrusive and disobedient cat optional. |
