Description: | |
This is the second in a series of monthly swaps for tea connoisseurs. Only best quality, loose tea. We'll be sending a securely and nicely packaged 50 g / 2 oz bag of excellent tea leaves to one partner. There is no obligation to participate each month. Assam... You will know that it is the largest area of tea growing worldwide. In northern India, the tea bushes (Thea assamica), growing on the banks of the Brahmaputra River, began to be exploited by the English in the 19th century. Today, more than 500 plantations in the region produce superior quality tea. The warm and moist climate creates ideal conditions for the strong and aromatic beverage that is Assam tea. In this swap, we’ll send any variety of Assam tea to one partner, ie 50 g / 2 ounces of loose tea. Swaps in this entire series are international, with the regrettable exception of such countries whose customs regulations do not allow this. With this exception in mind, everybody whose rating is above 4.85 is invited. Newbies with nicely filled profiles are invited, too. Please stay in touch with your partner if you have a problem; I'll angel if necessary, but hope not to have to! Happy swapping. |
