darn. I dont have or dont know where to find b&w postcards.. I have a 95% b&w postcard with a spash of color in the middle , but I dont think that'd work for this...

would it? If it would. sign me up! lol

You know you can take any photo and make it b&w! Then you can round the corners and send it as is or mount it on card stock. Voilà you have your pc for this swap

smart girl that Kelkat60 :)

What about non-photographic posties, as in B&W illustrations or images of a non-photographic nature?

AndreaJ 04/24/2010 #

The only thing I ask is that the image on front be all black and white and gray. But yes, you can create anything you want using that limit. There are a couple of good ideas above. Show off your artwork or a photo.

Here's my list of on-line sources which I've learned through swaps:

The Film Store: http://www.thefilmstore.com/All_Postcards.html Beautiful quality, and a really nice person offered to refund me half the postage when I overcalculated it. I didn't even realise or ask. I loved their honesty! One tip: Buy multiples of the ones you like because the ones I only bought singles of I can't bear to part with. :)

Art Unlimited: http://www.artunlimited.com/homepage.do A spotlight on past children's illustrators atm. Dick Bruna et al. Awesome!

Gorey Details: http://goreydetails.net/search.php?category=all&cojoined=postcard Edward Gorey and many more likeminded artists. A UK site with the option of seeing USD as well.

Pomegranate: http://pomegranate.stores.yahoo.net/postcards1.html Great range of great artists. They have a bulk pack of 100 for $14.95 or 200 for $24.95

The 2 Buds Vintage Postcard Shop: http://www.the2buds.com/suph2pc.htm Every geeky thing a postcard enthusiast could want. Turn your photographic prints into postcards! Protect your favourite postcards in crystal clear plastic sleeves! Purchase Vintage state postcards! Rigid postcard mailers for multiple-postcard swaps on swap-bot! Organise!

chroniclebooks.com is a great one too!

Here are some on-line sources for buying different kinds of postcards. Zazzle www.zazzle.com/postcards

VisionWorks www.changingworld.com/catalog/index.php

Syracuse Cultural Workers www.syracuseculturalworkers.com/

Another place to look locally is museums, Visitor centers, hotel gift shops and tourist sites.

Hey @AndreaJ them's my words! Glad you found them handy. (I hoped they'd help.) :D I'm gonna have to pass on this swap as I'm out of B&Ws, I think... Hope there'll be more.

AndreaJ 04/24/2010 #

Thank you, Papercaper! I couldn't remember where I got all those, but I've added the info to all my source lists for swaps I'm in. If you find any more let me know.
