From the previous popular swap, "Mail Me A Decorated Envie, Edited Swap."- http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/49932#comment-264572. and " Mail Me A Decorated Envie #2 Swap (Edited.) Hello swapper and welcome to our private swap for only PaperCaper and Solarts. A basic definition of mail art- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mail_art For those of us who love receiving fun mail especially the decorated ones I thought it would be fun to also add a short letter inside the envelope to add to the theme. RULES: Send ONE hand made decorated envelope to 1 swap partner. Size of the envelope nothing smaller than, 4x6 in. Envelope can be any color, and shape. You're welcome to make the envelope itself if you like to and then decorate it. Or use an already made envelope. Create a fun and nicely decorated mailing envelope. Use any sort of handmade decorations on the FRONT and BACK of the envelope. Envelopes can be decorated with rubber stamps, painted on, collaged, scribbled, colored pens, ink pens, stickers, glitter, mailing stamps, stamps, ink stamped etc. and made out of the most unusual materials. IMPORTANT Make enough room to leave the address on the front of the envelope to your swap partner. Or you may use an address label to add to your envie. PLEASE REMEMBER TO ADD A LETTER THAT YOU WRITE OR TYPE TO YOUR SWAP PARTNER. ADD THAT LETTER INSIDE THE ENVIE THAT YOU DECORATED TO MAIL TO YOUR PARTNER. The letter can be a short one page (FRONT AND BACK) legible and handwritten letter about anything. It would be nice to have the letter decorated anywhere on the page. The letter page can be hand made or store bought. Ideas what to write in the letter- Hobbies, travel, holidays, my pets, art, recipes, cooking, about you, where were you born,? how many places you have traveled to?, favorite crafts, books, films, etc. Let's have fun and please check out these inspiring decorated mailing envelope sites. Here are a few of my favorites and please feel free to add some in the comment section below. http://goodmailday.wordpress.com/2009/10/26/in-the-mailbox-of- late-10-26-09-edition/ http://allthisismine.com/shop/stationery/envelopes.html http://mailmeart.com/going-postal/original-mail-art-shop/ Happy swapping !
