This is an International swap! So, what do we do? Buy or make a postcard and then alter it! So, you get those pictures of semi-naked ladies that you just don't like seeing, and alter them- give them clothes, moustaches, frida-kahlo-esque eyebrows whatever the mood takes you. Boring picture of a city? No problem, add smiley faces, stars and sunshine.... get the idea?? If you are making a postcard, start with a plain image/ photo/ stamp and alter it... make it Monty Python/ Dali-esque! But, please make sure that everything is well glued down as these postcards are being sent without envelopes to make it a cheaper swap! On the back of the postcard you need to write the address of the person it's to(obviously) and your peeve- something that has annoyed you today, this week, this year, whenever. You will get two partners and you need to send one postcard to each of them... it doesn't have to be the same peeve, get everything off your chest and vent people!!! So, rules? Newbies welcome with a filled out profile and a PM to me please. Seasoned swappers with good ratings and no recent no-sends. I will be checking everyone before the swap ends as this is my first go at hosting and I want everyone to have a good time! One extra thing I would LOVE it if everyone could take a photo, scan or even a photocopy of their original postcard BEFORE they altered it- just so we can see how everything looked before and after. Don't worry if you can't do this due to lack of funds, equipment or whatever, I just thought it would be nice to share the process with everyone! I have given you three weeks after the sign-up date to get your postcards done and posted- please don't leave it until the last minute! |
