Description:

are you a spirit seeker? do you feel inspired by many different spiritual beliefs? are you open to the ideas of others' practices? if you shook your head yes to any of these, then please join my swap!

my spiritual path has taken many turns, but now more than ever, it is fully open to the unknown. i am hungry for knowledge and growth, and use many practices that i once did not know about. this is where our swap comes into focus. how many times have you been lead to a spiritual 'aha' when you least expected it. so many times i have simply found a used book at a thrift store, stumbled upon a television special, or overheard a conversation which led me to a truth that instantly felt right to me. i like to think of it as: there is so much we already know, but simply have to 'remember.'

so spirit seeker, i invite you to share something that is special to you right now on your spiritual journey with your partner. it could be a favorite meditation of yours, a photocopy of an excerpt from a book, a prayer or ritual you have created, a handful of quotes that you refer to throughout the day, information about an angel you call on to help you, a list of your crystals and how they work for you, a picture and description of your favorite saint, god, or special place in nature you call your own, or a short story about how your ancestors guide you.

please do what ever you feel moved to do. in return, we will open ourselves up to the possibility of learning something new, which may lead to an enlightening experience later down the road. i think i may use this swap as an excuse to take a trip to the library and seek out something new for myself and my partner!

the specs:
1. send your partner one snail mail letter or package describing a spiritual belief, practice, or insight that is important to you right now.
2. take your time and create a detailed piece for your partner. it does not have to be long, but please portray it as best as you can including a picture, drawing, or photocopy if it is an excerpt from a book, magazine or the internet. or include a nice used book on the subject, if you are not using it anymore - i have tons of these :) something handmade would be a wonderful enclosure if you choose.
3. if it is a story or experience you are sharing, then please include something small that is relative to your letter. for example: a mini card with a drawing of the four directions, if you are sharing an influence from the north in your life.
4. all are welcome to join this swap, but new members please have a FULL profile. please do not sign up if you are not fully committed to follow through. i will angel anyone who needs it, but hopefully we will not need to go there :)

BONUS: i found a spiritual swap hosted by @ashleyshea a couple years back where participants listed some information about their spiritual beliefs in the comments section so that they could find a partner to match up with. after the sign up deadline, each person then sent a message to the host, listing the names of those that they wanted to learn more about, however different or similar in their beliefs. the swap partners were then paired by the host manually, but b/c of this no ratings were able to be given out.

i figured this would be a fun bonus to this swap. if you are interested in meeting others (in addition to the person you will be sending too), please feel free to post a comment below about your spiritual path. please refer to the swap link above to see how bonus partners will be assigned, b/c this is getting awfully long :)

i was raised in a catholic education system and have come full circle now to find what works for me without dogma attached. i believe i have a soul that will never die, i believe that everything is connected : people, events, thoughts, everything. everyday i am convinced of this web and i can see the ripples. i believe that there is truth in every religion, but i choose not to follow one.

i enjoy meditating, i try not to plan, but follow my instincts. my biggest struggle right now is finding what i will do for a vocation or career that has meaning and purpose. this has always been the challenge of my life, and in my first astrology reading, i found that all of the planets where in the work house at the time of my birth, so yes i do believe in the knowledge of the cosmos. when i concentrate hard enough, people and events come into my life, therefore i am very aware of the power that thoughts have.

thanks for reading and i would love to be matched up with anyone to hear about how you have come onto your path, and maybe share some spiritual events in our lives.

I was raised into the Jehovah's Witness religion and fought it every step of the way!! I always could sense things around me and because of sharing that with my mother was told that I was possesed....as soon as I was 18 I left I went to a Baptist church for a few years, but still wasn't fullfilled and still felt draws to what was described by the church as more 'dark' things like Wicca.... I now practice Wicca and am also very connected with the goddess Diana. I still attend chruch from time to time and consider myself to be a Wiccan Christian!

Didn't see this option before. I was raised in an Anglican household and my mother is now an Anglican priest. In that process I saw a lot of what I call the "backside" of the church and don't regard it as a place I can experience true spirituality. I was drawn to become a reiki practitioner and am also interested in some buddhist teachings such as mindfullness, presence and compassion. These practices also tie in with my style of Reiki (Jin Kei Do) which translates as Reiki in the way of compassion and wisdom. I am also in therapy and this enhances the wisdom side of my reiki practice. that which is not truly me slowly falls away. I also believe in reincarnation and can see the truth of that reflected in the bible, the same way evolution is. I have done some past-life regression and have enough evidence to be satisfied that my experiences were genuine and that reincarnation is real. if I was to follow a religion I think I would be a Quaker. The idea of a personal relationship with God just feels so right to me.

I was raised Catholic. I am a Pagan/Christian cross - meaning that I do believe in Christ, and He is part of my pantheon.
